CREATING A CHARACTER

Before you decide on which character you would like to play you might find it useful to have a look at a few of the crew profiles and get an idea of what to write.

Basic information to consider is the Physical Profile (i.e. Species, Gender, Age, etc) and the Historical Profile (both character and service history).

Your character will, of course, develop over time as you write (see the Development FAQ) but to begin with you can give the rest of the crew an indication of what your character is like.

You might also like to research the different races, their cultures and history. 
A particularly useful site for this is the Daystrom Institute Technical Library (www.ditl.org).
