Hito is a Federation 'old timer'. He
was born to a Starfleet teacher and a starship engineer, and so
his path was pretty much laid out for him at a young age.
Hito did rebel for a year when he worked on a cargo ship; this
experience was probably what has helped him survived difficult
situations, as he has a unique perspective outside of Starfleet
and their rules and regulations, something a lot of the ships he
served on didn't have.
It was during his second commission when Hito met the love and
future wife, Catherine. They have been together ever since and
have been blessed with one child - Zoe.
