Taking
onboard new crew and fresh supplies the USS Horizon is once more tasked
with exploring beyond Federation borders.
At
the extreme edge of its sensor range, the Federation Deep Space Array
Mitra has
detected several planet-sized metallic spheres around a stellar body only a few days from
the Horizon's current location. As the nearest science vessel, the crew
of the Horizon are dispatched to investigate.
Encountering a planet inside one of the sphere's, the crew also uncover
the remains of a crashed Federation vessel and a computer intelligence
with a God-complex, ultimately hell-bent on destroying them all...
