Whilst investigating a planet in the Andarus system, perilously close to some worrying border skirmishes between nearby non-aligned worlds, the Nova-class USS Grimalkin has stopped responding to hails from Starfleet.

When the crew find themselves playing out parts in various children's fairytales, the crew of the Grimalkin playing similar parts but unaware of who they really are, they must struggle to find out what is really going on...
