Title: Too Much...
Author: Troy Baker / Tammin Doyle
Time: After 'Unnoticed & Unappreciated'
Scene: USS Horizon

The double doors to the Gateway slid open silently, Ensign Adder exiting as Tammin walked into the room. Sitting in the empty bar was Troy, drinking shot after shot. Tammin wasn't sure if she should approach the Bartender now or leave it until some other time. After all, after their last encounter Troy had been less than impressed with her.

"Troy," she sounded on approach.

"Tammin!" Troy beamed.

Tammin smiled, relieved with the response she had received.

"Thought I would tell you first.. I have decided to stay aboard the Horizon."

Troy grinned and pulled another glass from the counter, gesturing with his other hand for the Medical Officer to sit. "Have a drink with me, to celebrate."

Tammin sat. It had been a long day. The two talked and Tammin explained why she had planned to leave the Horizon and then told him how Lt. Commander L'Cir's words had impacted her decision.

Troy smiled. "To nuw beginnins then, huh?" He spoke, slurring his words.

Tammin Doyle was glad that she had decided to stay aboard the Horizon and she would ignore the feelings that she held for the CMO. It couldn't be that hard.

=/\= Sometime Later =/\=

Tammin and Troy had sat and been talking over the recent incident in the Gateway. Troy explained his dissatisfaction with Captain Deadilus. They discussed Troy's business back home and other assignments he had had. Before long they were laughing at nothing and both were quite intoxicated.

"We could get into serious trouble; you're not supposed to have that onboard." Tammin burst into laughter again.

Troy shrugged and laughed. It had been a long time since Tammin had drank so much. Before long she was crying and laughing.

"What's wrong?" Troy asked, swaying back and forth in his seat.

"Oh, nothing. It's ridiculous and embarrassing. I developed a crush on my Boss." She laughed, wiping away the tears streaming from her face and pacing around in circles.

"I thought something was going to happen between you two; you seemed kind of close," Troy announced.

"Yes, you along with half the ship."

"Did you two... did you..."

Tammin slowly walked up to the Bar as he spoke, climbing on top of it, and moving around the side, before sitting down on the counter sideways, facing him.

"Did we what?"

"You know... er.."

"Mr Troy Baker! What the hell kind of a question is that to ask?" Tammin beamed.

Troy looked away.

"They did," he muttered to himself.

"This is ridiculous. Why do you think I was going to transfer if we did?" She laughed again. "Troy, I make it a point to socialize with the people I work with, and it so happened I developed some feelings. Doesn't mean I was sleeping with him. What kind of a girl do you think I am?"

"You take him coffee almost every morning," Troy threw back. "And if you don't take it to him, he brings it to you."

"Yes, he does, and he is a sweetheart, but bringing me coffee is hardly romantic."

Tammin noticed the confusion on Troy's face. She reached out to caress his cheek.

"Poor Troy. If I'd only known you had feelings for me... Don't worry, it was only business. After all, we both know it's always been you."

Tammin was quite drunk and beyond helping herself.

"Tammin?"

Tammin moved in closer, ready to nuzzle the Barman gently.

"Hmm?"

"What are you doing?" Troy asked, pushing the Medical Officer back. With some effort he moved away around to the other side of the counter.

"Getting comfortable," she said as she began to undo the top of her teal uniform jacket.

Troy was stunned for a moment, then he broke into laughter.

"Ah, hahahaha. You got me going there for a minute, Tammin. Who put you up to this? Because, for a moment there, you really got me. Keeping in practice for April first, huh?"

"Troy, stop being so coy. There's nobody watching us."

Troy suddenly decided he needed reinforcements, and tapped his combadge. "Troy Baker to Security."

With most of the Security team involved in the holodeck simulation, Ensign Colieon picked up the call.

[What can I do for you, Troy?] The Ensign asked.

Before he could continue, the Bajoran reached across the desk and grabbed the commbadge, uttering 'Butt out' before flinging it across the room and scoring a goal in the wastepaper basket.

She stood before him, sounding annoyed, her jacket top half undone.

"You know, if I didn't love you so much, I'd be very cross with you right now," Tammin pouted.

This was totally out of character for the Tammin Doyle. Troy realized that he had given her far too much to drink. Once the two had begun talking, Troy had stopped drinking.

"Troy, do you know something?" Tammin said, continuing to undo her jacket top.

"Erm.. um.."

She left the jacket open as she gestured for him to come closer, before she cupped his face with her hands, and bent forward to whisper in his ear.

*On the bar! It must have been that heavy breakfast I had. I must be hallucinating now. Better make a mental note: Speak to the Captain about ingredients placed in food served via the replicators,* Troy thought.

"I have to go, Ensign. Maybe we can talk later," Troy stated, heading for the door.

Before Tammin could respond, the Barman had exited the Gateway. Tammin picked up her combadge and tapped it.

"Ensign Doyle to Doctor Matthews."

[Matthews here. Go ahead, Tammin.]

"Could you meet me in the Gateway, please?"

The CMO agreed. Tammin perched herself up on the bar and poured herself another drink. A few minutes later Ted entered and was quite stunned to see Tammin sitting on the bar, her uniform jacket laying on the floor where she had dropped it. Tammin gently patted the vacant spot next to her.

"Come and join me," she teased.

Ted shook his head. "What is going on, Ensign?"

"Isn't it obvious?" She asked, jumping off the bar and walking towards the CMO. "You have affairs with women. I am a woman, no strings attached." She sat on a table, running her hand along the large, empty area next to her.

Ted shook his head in protest. "Put your jacket on, Tammin. You need to sleep of that alcohol," he reasoned.

"Oh, you don't like it here? Maybe the turbolift; makes it more... exciting that way. Someone might catch us."

"Tammin, that is enough. Stop this at once," the CMO ordered.

Tammin grinned. "You don't like that idea either... hmmm..." She put her index finger to her lip and pondered for a moment. "We could tell the Captain that their is a disease on the Horizon, dismiss all the duty staff from the main bridge right now," continued Tammin breathlessly, "and just you and I... we could do it... in.. the Captain's chair." She didn't wait for a response, "But, I'll settle for the counter."

"Tammin, you need to stop this," Ted stated again.

"Shhh," she said softly, as she leaned forward to kiss him, pressing her body against his. Ted ducked out of the way.

"Are you alright, Ted?"

"Good question. I was going to ask you the same thing, however I couldn't help but notice the three bottles on the bar."

"I feel great. When I see you, I feel really good," the junior medical officer noted with a suggestive inflection. Tammin smiled wickedly as she reached down to pull her turqoise uniform shirt up. Ted jumped forward to stop her.

"Relax, Ted. You know you want this. No strings attached, no one ever has to know. Why are you fighting me?"

"Why am I fighting you? Very funny, ha ha," he replied as he wondered what was the best way to get them both out of this situation.

Tammin, however, was starting to get annoyed.

"What are you talking about? Do you think this is a joke?" She put her hands on her hips, looking at him with a frown.

"No, I..." He leant over to pick up her jacket and handed it to her. "Maybe you should get dressed properly. Someone could come in at anytime."

"Nonsense. After the incident here earlier, nobody will come in, as long as we... keep it quiet."

Ted's combadge chirped discreetly. Ted quickly tapped it as Tammin put her uniform jacket back on, looking at his doubtfully.

"Doctor Matthews here."

It was Nurse Bunter.

"Doctor, can you come to Sickbay immediately?"
