Title: Voices
Author: Ensign Colón
Time: Current
Scene: USS Horizon, Sickbay
Gabriel looked through his datapadd sorting out the normal paperwork that needed
to be filed. The amount of patients Ted and he had treated in the past few hours
was numerous, but they knew exactly how to treat them. The Ensign walked over to
the computer uploading what he had from his datapadd to the directory.
‘Sheba nana iba tu.’ Gabriel looked about the Sickbay.
*What the heck was that?* He thought.
‘Pluko nabita inanu shahar,’ he heard again. He looked about the sickbay once
more; was someone playing tricks on him? Gabriel walked over to nurse Dalton.
“Nurse, did you hear something strange just a moment ago?”
The nurse looked to Gabriel, his eyes were still yellow tinted and he looked
very intimidating since he had grown about 15lbs worth of muscle because of the
toxins in his body.
“No Doctor, I didn’t hear anything... Are you okay, Sir?” She asked
Gabriel shook his head and walked back over to the computer to upload his
information
‘Lalicu nabita kimishi na,’ he heard once more. This was not a coincidence
anymore; he was hearing voices from the Rennas. He just couldn’t tell where the
voices were coming from.
~
Aboard the 'Conquer', a new ship of the Rennas equipped with advanced weaponry
and cloaking capability, the Grand Warrior Glim’Plel sat in his command chair
looking at both of the Horizon’s through his viewscreen.
“Grand Warrior, there is a transmission from the homeworld for you. It’s coming
from our coding department,” the lower ranked Renna stated
The Grand Warrior stood up, walking to the viewscreen and pushing the other
Rennas out of the way. “What is it? It better be good, I am running out of
patience.”
[My apologies, but I think we have found a positive weakness in the Horizon’s
shield. From the memories of their officer, there is a part of the ship that is
being repaired as we speak and the hull is weak. You can obtain victory easily
with the information I am sending over to you my lord,] the scientist stated
with a bow.
The Grand Warrior made a laughing noise and cut off the transmission. He looked
over the information and pounded the armrest of his chair.
“Prepare our ship for attack, we will disable both ships and then our deception
to the Federation will begin. They will welcome us with open arms when we
present them with some of their officers that we ‘saved’ from a horrible
attack.” The Grand Warrior grinned. “Deadilus will never know what will hit him”
~
Gabriel uploaded the information to the computer and set the datapadd back down.
He looked about the sickbay with a smile. Everyone was feeling better today, and
they had discharged most of the patients from this morning.
‘Lukili Monteroni.’ Gabriel held his head in his hands; the voices were stronger
this time and it was like the Rennas were right next to him. He couldn’t make
out what they were saying but he knew it wasn’t good.
“Ensign Colón to the Bridge,” Gabriel said once he tapped his combadge.
[Deadilus here, Doctor. How are you feeling?]
“Sir, I am alright. However, I think something horrible is about to happen...”
