Title: Putting The Hurt On
Author: Lt. (JG) Remmick
Time: After 'Trailing Turnquistian'
Scene: A City Alley
As the three Starfleet officers closed in on their supposed-pursuer, Captain
Deadilus suddenly lunged forward. To Remmick's surprise, Deadilus had one of the
man's arms twisted up behind his back, and was slamming him against the wall
before he knew what had hit him.
"Don't, don't hurt me! I know, I know," he stuttered, "I know where they are!"
Deadilus fixed his prey with a cold stare. "You'd best be spilling what's you
know, before you spill what's you got." Tally had stepped up behind his CO, and
cracked his knuckles, nodding. Remmick trailing behind, managed an icy glare,
but had never honestly considered himself a violent extortioner.
"D... da boss, Rocko, he got da dames hidden away safely - but he ain't da boss
o' bosses." The man looked worried for a second, like maybe he was going too
far, but Deadilus nonchalantly twisted his arm a little further up his spine.
The Turnquistian gasped. "Some creepy guy! Hoods an' robes' and weird talkin' -
talkin' like what you'se does!"
Remmick murmured. "Like us... like someone advanced. I knew it, there's no way
these primitives invented a decent field-dampener. Uh, nothing personal." He
threw this comment towards their sweating captive. "If we can get a look at
their base, or some of their technology, I can get a handle on what we're
dealing with... create a counter to their field technology."
