Title: Hansel and Gretel
Author: Scott Deadilus
Time: Straight after "Breadcrumbs"
Scene: The Enchanted Forest
"Look..." Scott pointed at the trail of breadcrumbs before them.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Autumn exclaimed. "First I'm stuck as Rapunzel
and now we're supposed to be Hansel and Gretel?"
Deadilus shook his head slowly. "I don't think so, otherwise surely we'd be the
ones laying the breadcrumbs and eating a gingerbread house..." He couldn't help
but smile.
"Do we follow it, though - that is the question?" Given that she had been stuck
in a tower, the COO was understandably reluctant to take part in another
children's fairytale. The Captain, on the other hand, wondered what part they
may play in this new story...

The trail of breadcrumbs had petered-out in one direction, indicating the
origins of the fabled children, and so the two Starfleet officers had followed
the breadcrumbs what seemed to be deeper into the forest. Eventually they came
across the gingerbread house, no doubt with a wicked witch inside.
Creeping up to one of the windows, Scott and Autumn sneaked a peek inside; a
sturdy metal cage held a not-so-small child (having been forcefed sweets and
lard to plumpen him up) whilst some old hag leant over a large pot, the smell of
the broth permeating even the sweet smell of the thick, children-enticing,
gingerbread walls...
