Gitta walked out of the cottage as the other discussed the best way to handle the danger of going to the castle. She sat on the beanstalk stump that they had cut down during Ted's arrival... her legs were hurting her again and she knew that the trip to the castle would be a hard one, but Gitta reminded herself that at least it was not as much pain as she had when she first got the implants after her accident when she was nine. Even now, years later, Gitta could not forget the pain those first few months after the accident. But it not was the physical pain... it was loneliness that Gitta remember the most.

Suddenly The Narrator appeared to her, sitting on the ground next to her. "Hello, little miss. I see you are thinking about days that you would rather soon forget... but sometimes we have look at our past to move forward."

Gitta was shocked. "You are connect to our thought patterns."

The Narrator shook his head. "Do not worry, I am only programmed to use the information to assist you in your quest."

Gitta threw up her hands in frustration. "As Emma tried to tell you, we are not of your people... we are trapped... "

The Narrator look at her with smile. "I know this now, but I cannot finish the program until you and the others completed your quest."

The Science Officer looked at the Narrator. "I have no idea why I chose Cinderella... It is a story about a girl everyone orders around - her cruel stepmother, her awful stepsisters - but no matter how much her family abuses and humiliates her, they can't stop her from dreaming. Despite her sadness and hardships, she has faith that someday her wishes of happiness will come true."

The Narrator gave her a nod of approval. "You are beginning to understand, little miss..."

She turned to asked The Narrator when he meant by that but he had disappeared again.

Before Gitta had time to think about The Narrator’s words, Emma was coming out the cottage to tell her that they were leaving for the castle.
