Title: A Gingerbread Army?

It had to be said that Autumn was rather attached to her head! It seemed the King, however, had other plans and if he had his way her head and body may be separated in a most uncomfortable way. Even though the Rapunzel story had left Autumn needing a hair cut the shiny gleam of the guard's sword was not the type of implement that trimmed nicely.

It was a given that magic had always been a part of fairytales, that and good triumphing over evil. This castle however seemed to be full of bad ‘magic’ and evil was definitely in a better position.

The Captain had not exactly vocalised a plan, but he did not seem particularly scared by the advancing swordsman.

“You say you are struggling to control this place because our thoughts are overwhelming the system?” Asked the Captain.

The King had a smug smile as he answered Scott.

“That will not be a problem for much longer.” The King nodded to the swordsman who raised his weapon. Emma moved to intercept but Scott halted her with a small hand gesture.

“So say for example...” the swordsman hesitated as Scott spoke again, “...if we all thought at the same time about an army of good fairytale folk, would they appear?” Scott looked meaningfully at his crew.

Autumn thought she understood and tried to think of the good characters from fairy tales. The stress of the situation was obviously getting to her as all she could think of was the gingerbread man and as she visualised him in her mind he appeared in front of the swordsman.

Others obviously had cottoned on to the Captain’s thinking as well as the three bears, Ali Baba and the forty thieves and others started to appear. Autumn was curious as to who thought up Humpty Dumpty, but that was a matter for later discussion.

As the room became crowded the King clutched his head and sank back down onto the throne. It was then that the huge doors to the room crashed opened and in walked who could only have been the Queen...
