Notes:

Following on from lessons learned with the Argus Array, construction on the Deep Space Array Mitra commenced in 2372 and was completed during the initial weeks of the Dominion War. As such, DSA Mitra was pressed into service as an intelligence gathering unit, spying on Cardassian and Talarian units bordering on the fringes of  Federation space.

At the conclusion of the war the subspace telescope was realigned (a lengthy process) to support exploration efforts concentrating in the space surrounding Starbase 9.

Work was commenced on an additional unit, DSA Varuna, in 2378 and is expected to be completed late in 2381. Coupled with DSA Mitra, these units will provide the largest subspace telescopic network ever constructed in the alpha quadrant.
