Infinity Quarterly
June 2006

Site

Infinity, although in its infancy, is rapidly growing and changing. The latest modifications to the site are the drop down navigation system and the development of the writers’ section. We would really like your feedback about what has been done so far (good or bad) and we are keen to hear if you have any ideas about what you would like to see on the website in the future.

If you find something that doesn’t work please contact admin@st-infinity.co.uk. Sometimes problems can be resolved just by refreshing your page (apparently it has something to do with the buffer but please don’t ask me, as I’m not the technical genius behind the site :)).

I thought you might like to know that Star Trek Infinity can now (or shortly) be found at the following addresses: www.st-infinity.co.uk, www.st-infinity.com, www.st-infinity.org, www.st-infinity.net.

Stories

Even though we are a small band of writers at the moment we have an impressive number of years writing experience between us. The quality of posting has so far exceeded all my expectations. Not only are the posts exciting and well written but they are also nicely tying in together.

If anyone feels they would like to discuss the direction of the story or perhaps suggest a future storyline please take advantage of your Captain’s and XO’s as they would be pleased to hear from you. You can always use the message board if you don’t feel like emailing.

Personally I am thinking the stories could take a more twisted route than the usual Star Trek recipe of ‘finding trouble, beating trouble and the typical happy ending’. I was thinking once in a while we might even lose!

Announcements

The new method of deciding the post of month was introduced on the message board. The theory behind it is that it makes it a fairer choice and it gives more say to the writers. If you haven’t already done so then please register on the board and make your vote count (May’s PoM poll will be on the board shortly).

Congratulations to the post of the month winners so far.

Other

We would really appreciate help in advertising the site if you feel you can lend a hand please email admin@st-infinity.co.uk.

Scotty and I recently went on a trip from the UK to the US; before we went we made up business cards and left them at the airports. It may prove useless but it was good fun :)

Please let me know if there is anything you want added to the next Infinity Quarterly :).  This edition has also been sent (bcc’d) to some writers who have shown an interest in writing with us and/or are undecided. I hope this helps in your decision-making and we will see you soon.

Many thanks for reading.

Kind regards,

Amy
