Scene: The Star Trek : Infinity Universe
Captain Winters and Captain Deadilus sat in the bar at the edge of the
galaxy - hey, it's original! ;) - looking back into the depths of space
and time.
Well, the last two years that is.
Abigail couldn't help but bore... I mean, regale... Scott with horror
stories of the different universes the Relentless and her intrepid crew
had explored; there'd been their alien selves, the universe where the
Dominion had not been beaten, the evil Galt-virus, the dying-out human
race, and most recently the void of a universe the crew had been sent to
as a punishment for screwing things up...
Scott, however, droned... I mean, fascinated... the other captain with
tales of deadly viruses that wiped out whole colonies, alien dream
technology that uncovered some long forgotten dark histories, colossal
spheres with psychotic keepers, giant bugs with murderous intentions and
comets with LOUSY trajectories.
However, one thing that both Captain's could agree on was the crews they
had been graced with, be they clumsy, lucky, cybernetic or just plain
resourceful, had made the adventure on both ships something to be
recorded in the chronicles of Infinity...

Site
With the site providing us
with ships specifications, up-to-date crew rosters, current and archive posts,
a unique and relevant Federation map, awards details, FAQs and regularly
updated news pages, there was little to do! However, not ones to rest on our
laurels, we have added a Comments/Feedback section containing just a few of
the nice comments we have received from writers (past and present) and other
website administrators. Plans for next quarter include a Recipes section
(recipes kindly provided by Beverly) - no, we're not kidding! Please feel free
to send in your favourite Gagh, Hasperat or Slug-o-Cola recipes :D
Stories
The last quarter has seen Chapter 5 on the USS
Horizon come to a close (just about) and Chapter 5 on the Relentless
continue to go strong; who would have thought an empty universe could
provide so many quality posts?!
The Horizon's Chapter 5 saw the pre-warp but culturally-contaminated
Turnquistian people saved from the comet threatening to destroy them and
several of the crew got to 'dress-up' in 1920's-style gangster pinstripe
suits! However, as with all dark twists, the Sethton people are still
doomed to die out (unbeknownst to the Horizon crew). Meanwhile, the crew
of the Relentless are still in the Observer 'void' parallel universe
although their latest attempt to escape has brought them into the
parallel dimension inhabited by the Observers themselves.
Additionally, a few Darien Trent
posts are now available on the site for Starbase 9. Although technically
a non-posting unit this continued storyline serves to provide a little
background for the starbase and events that may be to come...

We have been adjusting the USS
Horizon and USS Relentless Dedication Awards to begin at 25 posts
instead of 50. Therefore, I am pleased to say that the following
character bioprofiles (some quite backdated) have been updated to
include the '25th Post Dedication Award'.

Other
Our level of writers seems to have
settled over the last few months, providing an excellent pair of stable
writing platforms and little crew turnover. Plans are to transfer-off
the majority of the old characters, providing potential new writers with
a simple yet effective and active crew to post alongside.
Whilst I know I thanked all of you
last time with regards to keeping the Relentless going even though my
activity was reduced due to my new job and degree, I would once again
like to thank you all (both on the Horizon and the Relentless) for
keeping Autumn and Abigail in the thick of it.
