| Maxine was witness to her parents
death when they were killed during a shuttlecraft explosion. A
subsequent investigation determined that there had been a
catastrophic failure in the shuttle's safety systems. Maxine,
however, knew otherwise.
Her parents had served under Section 12 - a covert agency
dedicated to the protection of the Federation and Starfleet from
internal threats. Answering directly to Federation President
Jaresh Inyo, her father and mother had both resigned their
commissions and become civilian freighter pilots, allowing them
to slip from system to system shuttling people, cargo and
information without attracting undue attention. After the death
of her parents a close friend of the family, and a fellow
section 12 agent, took her into his family's care. Already
knowing about Section 12, Maxine was subsequently recruited and
acted as their 'eyes and ears' onboard larger vessels and
starbases whilst also performing admirably in her role as a
Science Officer.
During a recent mission it was necessary for Maxine to inform
her then Commanding Officer Commodore Albright of her
affiliations. As such her connections to Section 12 have become
less frequent. To this extent she has transferred to the USS
Relentless to allow her to travel to previously unexplored
regions of space. |

| Graduate from Starfleet Academy and
served onboard the former flagship of the Federation as a Science Officer
under the section command of Chief Science Officer Scott Deadilus,
with whom she formed a close personal friendship.
Transferred to Starbase Centrica as Chief Xenosciences Officer
(CXO), then to the USS Explorer as CSO, but was reassigned to the
USS Relentless after the Explorer was damaged by saboteurs after Lt.
Commander Abigail Winters. |
