If Alice went down the rabbit hole and Dorothy followed the yellow brick road, Abby wasn't quite sure how she would describe what had just happened to them.

In the moment after Maxine had activated the device the XO wasn't sure whether she would ever be able to express the feeling of being out of time with the universe and she didn't know if she could find the words to describe how she felt seeing another Relentless.

Abby was having serious troubling thoughts about the Captain. Everything seemed predestined and Alex seemed to have some clue as to what was going to happen next. It seemed unfair that he left everyone fumbling in the dark whilst he walked in the light of a carefully laid-out trial.

The Senior Staff were set to gather in the Observation Room in half an hour but the XO needed to arrange a few things beforehand. As she tapped into her console she got a really peculiar feeling. It was somewhat intangible and she wasn't even sure it was real but the feeling left her staring dazed at the monitor.

"Commander, something wrong?" She hadn't heard Kal approach behind her.

"Can't quite explain it and you would probably think I am mad" Abby tried to affect a nonchalant smile.

"Ship speaking to you?" The XO was stunned - that had been what she couldn't quite put her finger.

"Something like that!" This time her smile to the blonde was genuine.

"You wanted to see me?" Abby had asked the computer where Kal was but she hadn't expected the engineer to find her.

"Yes I did. For the meeting we need your analysis on the piece of equipment and I just wanted you to check Relly out." Abby didn't elaborate but Kal seemed to understand.

"Understood, Commander." With that said, he left.

Abby asked Clayton to make a tactical analysis of their current situation and left the bridge in his hands as she went to check on the other departments. She found Maxine amidst a highly excited group of scientists comparing the data that they had gathered. The Chief of Sciences assured her that she would have her report ready for the meeting.

Her next port of call was medical, where she found the new doctor Tobias Ialius seated in his office. Brief introductions were exchanged and then Abby requested that the doctor give her a quick medical to ensure nothing had changed since she had come into contact with the mysterious device.

After ten minutes the Doctor assured her that all was as it should be.

Relieved by the Doctor's assessment Abigail and Tobias made there way to the meeting.
