Scene: USS Relentless

As Starbase 9 came into view his smile spread and his fingers curled around the data padd he had spent hours perfecting. He didn't much like the ship or her crew but he would not hand over sloppy reports. As far as the USS Relentless went, all of the administration was up-to-date and complete.

Their last mission had given Godron one new interest aboard the ship and that was the beautiful and magnificent Maxine Jenna. Now there was a woman to put above all others. He sighed a long wishful breath.

The device that had been recovered on Parsus had been a great find and whilst Godron wasn't that keen on adventuring to other universes he knew that the Relentless would now become a very important and valuable ship and perhaps now his family would start to take some pride in him.

There was going to be a lot of fuss about the ownership of this device and Godron intended to tip his very important Ferengi family off to the discovery as soon as he could find a secure link on Starbase 9.

He wasn't yet sure whether he would mention the ship's peculiar nature. He had heard the rumours that the ship had tried talking to the XO, but he thought Abigail looked like the neurotic type and probably couldn't be trusted to give reliable accounts of anything.

Godron had a few choice words to say to Admiral Foster when they arrived. Firstly he resented Security and their constant checking and rechecking. Also, he didn't like the way the Captain and XO never personally informed him of things that happened. Just as well he had his little network of friends (some would say spies) aboard the ship.

Administrative forms had arrived informing him of the two new crew set to join them; a Counsellor and a Science officer. More troublemakers he imagined. Starfleet couldn't do anything right these days.
