Title: First Steps

Scene: USS Relentless


As crewmen Janwan took her first steps onto the USS Relentless she had a feeling her life was going to change forever. This was Siri’s first time as a tactical officer so she wasn't sure what to expect, but the young Ensign knew it would be a big change and hopefully she was going to love every bit of it.

But before she could take her shift she had to find her quarters.

"Oh-no, what did that officer say?" Janwan said to herself.

*Oh yeah, now I remember, it's on deck 3,* she thought.

When Siri finally got to her quarters she was thankful that her roommate was on a different shift; putting down her gear, she sighed heavily. Perhaps she would have a good time here.

She then took out a picture of her family and touched the face of her brother. He had been lost when the ship that he was serving on was destroyed; she hadn't mentioned him in her application because she didn't think it was necessary.

*I guess I better get ready for my shift.*

Janwan left her quarters and briefly paused to build her strength and courage before walking to the turbolift to start her first day on the USS Relentless.
