"Right, so parallel dimensions are just different versions of the same bubble and each share certain physical characteristics. These daughter universes aren't part of them and can be very different, with say a universe where light bends and there are only 2 dimensions, not 3. I think I played a hologame once that featured this kind of.....'

The console on the side beeped urgently. Damian watched Lieutenant Jenna walk over to look at it, her eyes widening when she saw what was being sent to engineering.

"We have the co-ordinates," she said.

Damian nodded and returned to his temporary station, aware that Multiverse Theory 101 may have to be postponed for a while... briefly he wondered whether it would be possible to create a version of 3D chess based on the multiverse theory with each level having different rules, but quickly filed that idea away. He had work to do.
